2019 Smut Swap Letter

Dear Smutswap Writer,

Hello! Welcome to my oft-recycled, slightly repackaged, and probably far-too-wordy letter! (Apologies in advance for the wordiness... and for the massively screwed up cuts!)
First and foremost, I know it's cliché, but I'm just thrilled that you'll be writing for one of my chosen fandoms. That in itself is fabulous, and I'm appreciative and excited and I certainly hope your assignment is something that you enjoy!

Second and uh, secondmost?, I love all of my fandoms equally, so I’ll love whichever one you end up writing for. I'll try to prompt equally, but sometimes my brain is all 'any fic for these characters, omg' and fails hard at the prompt thing - so, regardless of prompt quantity/quality, I’m honestly just excited to get fic in any of these fandoms! Oh, and if - by chance - you've written for me before and recognize prompts, it's not recycled because I didn't love what you wrote - I'm just greedy and want more!

I'll start off with more of a general description of my likes and dislikes/DNWs in fandom and fic, and then I'll move on to more specifics for each of my selections.

General ‘Stuff I like’:

• Slow-build/burn, first-time is one of my absolute favorite relationship tropes. Friends-to-lovers, or enemies-to-lovers or anything in-between.

• I’m also a total sucker for lots of the really tropey plots & scenarios so please don't be afraid of using them (or lampshading/subverting them). Here are a few that are awesome:

 

 

   · Bed-sharing/Huddling for warmth/forced closeness

   · Magic gone awry

   · Stranded together/Crashed on a desert island

   · Pretend couple/marriage of convenience

• Characters who go to BAMFy, ends-of-the-earth, extremes for the other - to save them, or get vengeance on someone who hurt them - is pure catnip.

• I also really enjoy action/adventure, plotty case-fic, and humor.

• Angst & Hurt/comfort is terrifically dandy as well, and considering a couple of my fandoms, violence could be expected. I'll admit it though: I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

• Crossovers might be okay, but I'd have to know the other fandom. And Canon-adjacent AU is welcome.

• I'm great with fic of any length! 1,000 words - 100k+.

The ‘Stuff I like Ratings/Sex-wise’:

• I love sex and porn - hence signing up for Smutswap - but, I definitely lean more towards the 'side of porn w/ my plot, please' vs. total 'pwp'. Not that I'd not be happy w/ PWP - just want to clarify that I'd also be open to plotty fic with porn included.

• I like top/bottom switching. I'm not picky on who does what to who and the more variety the better.

• I like scenarios that push characters into physical and emotional extremes where their vulnerability comes to the fore/gives them a reason to admit to feelings and act on them.

• My prompts are more of the general fic type of prompts - and I know matching is based on at least one kink/tag -so please feel free to incorporate any of my tags into a prompt, or ignore the prompts completely! I only have them listed as suggestions/a starting point.
 

 

The ‘What I’m Not So Fond of’ aka DNWs:

My 'hardstop, probably won't read' DNWs are in my sign-up (and copied below). That being said, there are a few other things that aren’t really my cup of tea:

From my letter - DNWs include: certain extreme kinks (ex: underage, watesports, scat, vore, bestiality, age-play, daddy-kink, infantilism, emetophilia, inflation, feeding, lactation/pregnancy, amputation), noncon btwn requested characters, partner betrayal, permanent char. death, suicide, vampire/werewolf AU, slave AU, seme/uke dynamics, disability fic, issue-fic, trans or ace headcanons, A/B/O type verse, Mpreg, always-a-girl/boy, or D/s lifestyle 24/7.**

• Please no overt/purposeful animal cruelty. (Hunting/fishing is fine as they fit the fandom)

• Regarding the 'extreme kinks', I think I've covered most of the broad categories that fall under the YKINMKATO setting, but I know sometimes those boundaries can blur, so if you have any questions about other kinks, please feel free to ask! 

• Please no character bashing. Even if I didn’t request the characters, I pretty much like them all.

• I'd prefer there to be no focus on any of the requested characters having sex with other people. Past references are fine, but no explicit 'on air' sexual situations between either half of the pairings with anyone else.

• I’m as much a fan of the universes I’m requesting as the characters, so I’d prefer not to see much in the way of non-canon AU (i.e coffee shop, tattoo parlor, etc...)

• Not a huge fan of 1st or 2nd person POV, or of epithets.

• No permanent character death or suicide, but I don’t mind if you go darkside, and temporary death for plot purposes is fine, but I appreciate avoiding killing anyone off permanently (at least the requested characters).

• Partner betrayal makes me uncomfortable, as does incest (unless it’s canon) and humiliation.

• Lastly, I’d prefer to avoid noncon (esp. between the nominated characters), and steer away from dubcon w/out feelings and/or consequences (i.e. Okay would be Sex Pollen w/ 'OMG what did I/You/We do?!'). **

** The Damien caveat. My DNWs & likes/dislikes differ for this fandom. Dubcon & noncon are totally on the table here. Power dynamics and darker kinks are encouraged. See the tags!

Warcraft (2016)

Relationship: Anduin Lothar/Khadgar

Fandom & relationship notes: I adore this movie and these two in particular. I'm great with mention of any other canon character and/or WoW references. I feel like these two sparked from the moment they met (Khadgar getting shoved down on a table with a hand over his mouth by Lothar didn't hurt either!) and I really feel like Khadgar and Lothar only help each other heal.

- Lothar getting rough/bossy with Khadgar (like that first meeting scene) is a definite kink. Especially if he's protecting him. I can see Khadgar getting off on it and pushing Lothar's buttons to make it happen.

- Sex that incorporates magic in a fun/helpful/positive way would be fun for these two.

Specific Prompts:

•  After the events of the movie, Khadgar sets out to find Garona wanting nothing more than to find out for himself why she did what she did (and possibly to clear her name). Lothar, of course, opposes the idea. But when Khadgar won't back down, Lothar decides the only way to stop him is to accompany him. During their journey, certain feelings and desires can no longer be ignored.

•   Magic spell gone awry! Investigating reports of something strange in a nearby land, Lothar accidentally triggers some kind of spell that has unusual consequences. Khadgar is sent for to try to ‘cure’ him. They discover it requires admission of feelings… and sex, obviously.

•  Khadgar’s sudden elevation in status means he becomes a target for enemies of the crown. Lothar is charged with protecting him, and he takes his duty just a bit too seriously. It’s starting to get in the way of Khadgar’s opportunity to meet new people… After Lothar ends up interrupting yet another potential ‘date’, Khadgar decides that Anduin needs to explain himself. He's a bit surprised when that explanation involves demonstrations.

•  Reports come in that the Fel is resurfacing and the Orcs are organized once again. Khadgar thinks he discovers a way to make the fel leave Azeroth one and for all, but to attempt it could result in his death. Lothar, who would sacrifice himself for the Kingdom and his Queen in a heartbeat, doesn’t understand why he’s unwilling to let Khadgar take that risk.

•  Rumors of a great, magical relic begin to circulate and Taria sends her two best champions to investigate and seek out this powerful artifact. Khadgar tries to teleport them there, but this item interferes and it redirects his magic, stranding he and Lothar somewhere unknown.

•  More magical sexy hijinks! For the purposes of a mission, Khadgar and Lothar agree to a magical bodyswap. To keep the mission a secret, no one but the Queen can know. Obviously… they learn quite a bit about each other while living each other’s lives.

The Exorcist (TV)

Relationships: Marcus Keane/Tomas Ortega, Marcus Keane/ Peter Osborne

Fandom & relationship notes: The whole mentor/protegee vibe between Marcus & Tomas was just... so delightful. But I also enjoyed the not quite easy, slow comfort he started to share with Peter. I see so much potential in both of these pairings. I love world-weary, been-through-the-wringer, tortured past Marcus; idealistic, humbled by his experiences but still slightly cocky Tomas; easy-going, nurturing but not without his own depth Peter.

- I'm good with either of both of these pairings being incorporated into a fic. I'll prompt for either/or and both - but if a prompt inspires you, feel free to change up the pairing.

- Any other character from the series is definitely welcome as well!

- I think most (maybe all) of my prompts are post-canon, but I'm not absolutely tied to that. I just felt like the show had SO much potential and so many different ways it could've gone. Hence the prompts!

Specific Prompts (pairing suggested):
 

•  Marcus/Tomas: At the end of the 2nd season, Marcus is given a ‘vision’ of Tomas. There’s such anguish in his voice when he calls out Tomas’ name. Whatever he saw sends Marcus on a desperate hunt to find Tomas and save him.

•  Marcus/Tomas &/or Marcus/Peter:Something or someone else from Marcus’ past causes troubles for him during an exorcism, forcing Tomas / Peter to work through it with him. They have to balance the feelings it starts to bring to the surface – shame, guilt – and work through what it means for the two of them.

•  Marcus/Tomas: A demon tries to stir trouble between Marcus and Tomas while they work to exorcise it from an innocent woman, taunting Tomas with Marcus’ attraction. After they’re done, managing to save the woman, Tomas assumes the demon was lying and is ready to move on, but Marcus doesn’t realize and tries to explain… baring some truths he hadn't intended for Tomas to know.

•  Marcus/Tomas: In a last-ditch effort to stop Tomas, the demon-controlled church excommunicates him, hoping this will keep him from getting deeper into the troubles plaguing their leadership. Tomas is bereft, but Marcus is there to support him through it… including helping him to indulge in some things he’s denied himself.

• Marcus/Tomas &/or Marcus/Peter: In those three months that pass after Marcus walks away from Tomas, he tries to settle into a ‘normal’ life. Maybe he even sticks around with Peter for a while? But, his old life catches him up when Tomas shows up again.

•  Marcus/Peter: Marcus is at war with himself. He tries to stay with Peter, but guilt dogs at his heels over giving up his calling & letting Tomas go off w/ Mouse. Peter is patient and tolerates his wandering, but starts to realize that Marcus needs to give up more of himself and get to know himself in order to let go of his past.

Wiedźmin | The Witcher (Video Game)

Relationship: Geralt of Rivia/Vernon Roche

Fandom & relationship notes: Yeah, Geralt has chemistry with pretty much everybody, but his relationship with Vernon Roche has always been the one that's captured my attention and my heart. I love that they're both fierce and loyal and broken with tough as nails exteriors and darkness in their pasts. They made the best of allies and I completely read sexual tension into all their interactions.

- I enjoy the majority of characters from the games (Ciri & Ves are 2 favorites) so including most any character is fine. There's only one character I ask that you do not mention: Emhyr. Hard pass there.

- I hesitate to mention 'headcanons' as I know that they're quite a personal thing - but if it helps (and it's NOT necessary to include any of this!!) I see Geralt as pretty sexually flexible. Attracted to strong personalities and different kinds of power.  Roche, I read as gay but the type to abstain from sex - not out of a lack of desire, but because it leads to fewer complications in his life and less risk. I also suspect he's got a dark childhood. Again - purely speculation on my part and NOT required!

Specific Prompts:
 

•  Geralt is tasked to complete a mission (maybe something associated to Witcher-school lore) that will require him to venture into some kind of spirit/other realm, leaving his body behind. He needs someone he trusts to watch over him while he does this and asks Roche. Naturally things don’t go as planned and Roche needs to follow him into this other realm/Geralt’s mind/etc... to rescue him. He learns quite a bit about Geralt while in there - and maybe shares some of his own secrets as well.

•  Geralt encounters Roche while on a mission to dispatch an incubus. Inhibitions lowered, Geralt and Roche give in to their desires and lots of hot, sweaty sex ensues. They try to blame it on the incubus… only to find out it wasn’t an incubus after all.

•  Roche shows up at Geralt’s villa in Toussaint needing a place to lay low. His stay continues to lengthen even though every day Geralt wakes up and expects to find him gone. Geralt eventually overhears some things that clue him into Roche's reasons for sticking around.

•  Roche's fate seemed rather questionable in some of the game outcomes. Geralt learns (perhaps from Ciri) that there's a bounty on Roche's head and he can think of only one way to save him: smuggle him to Kaer Morhan. Just why he's so keen to save Roche's life is just one of the things that will be explored on the way there.

•  Roche enlists Geralt's help after some men under his command disappear and he fears some kind of beast/monster. Together they dispatch the creature, but Roche is horribly injured, forcing Geralt to make the decision to try to use Witcher decoctions to try to save his life. Hurt/comfort to the max!

•  Roche aids Geralt on a contract where a devious sorceress traps them in a dangerous underground lair. Between the monsters and the dangerous spells and traps, their emotions may be the trickiest thing to navigate and it's going to be a challenge to get out of it alive.

Damien (TV)

Relationships: Damien Thorn/James Shay, Damien Thorn/Amani Golkar, Damien Thorn/Amani Golkar/James Shay, Damien Thorn/Ann Rutledge

Fandom & relationship notes: Ugh, this show needed more seasons! I just wanted to see how things would change once Damien came into his power and his birthright, yanno? That's definitely what I want to see explored. With Amani, it's his loyalty! He stuck by Damien's side through it all. What else would he do for him? And that sizzling antagonism between Detective Shay and Damien was so, so glorious. I can only imagine how Damien would respond to having Shay on his knees. And Ann! Despite how delightfully twisted she's been, her motives really have been all about Damien. Their dynamic leaves so, so much to unpack.

- It probably goes without saying based on my requested characters, but Amani lives! Damien brings him back or heals him (if he was the one to crawl out of the coffin). Regardless of pairing, please at least mention that Amani is alive. LOL

- I really am good with any (or all) of the pairings I've selected. I'll include prompts for each, but any of them, all of them or even mix & match would be great. 

- I did prompt for darker stuff here - but that's totally your call. If you see fluffy smut between Amani & Damien... go for it. But don't be afraid to explore a bit of depravity with this one!

- See the tags! I could probably prompt for each of those...  but this is already long enough, lbr.

Specific Prompts:

• Damien/Any, Damien/All: Damien is coming to terms with who he is, but will he be able to reign in his darkest impulses? Especially as they regard those who follow him: the loyal friend, the wary subject, the mother-figure?

• Damien/James Shay: There's a glorious antagonism between Damien and Detective Shay. Damien was always a bit cocky and Shay seemed to be going rather mad with it. What does it mean that Shay took a knee? Is he really hopping on the antichrist bandwagon? And what does Damien think of the good Detective's change of heart? And how will he take advantage?

• Damien/Ann Rutledge: Damien’s relationship with Ann Rutledge is just so twisted. Does she want to be his mother, his lover, his keeper, his servant, his protector, or all of the above?  What does she want from Damien? What does Damien want from her now that he’s acknowledged who he is? Will he continue to push against her, or will he give in and be what she wants?

• Damien/Amani: Throughout all of the shit Damien’s been through, Amani has been there to support him. Even when Damien pushed him away, Amani came back. He’s loyal and true-hearted and brave as hell. But, now that Damien’s come into his power, what will that mean for Amani? Will Damien be able to keep from letting his power change his relationship with Amani?

• Damien/Any, Damien/All: Drunk on his new power, and wanting to take back his own control, Damien puts his influence to the test with one/more of the people in his life. He can't seem to help the way his desires spiral more and more out of control.

• Damien/Any, Damien/All: He wants them to worship him, but Damien becomes blind to what that means. The others... they feel driven to prove their loyalty no matter the cost.
