Dear FFFX Writer,

So sorry for the delay!

First and foremost, I know it's cliché, but I'm just thrilled that you'll be writing for one of my chosen fandoms. That in itself is fabulous, and I'm appreciative and excited and I certainly hope your assignment is something that you enjoy!

Second and uh, secondmost? I'll try to prompt equally, but sometimes my brain is all 'any fic for these characters, omg' and fails hard at the prompt thing - so, regardless of prompt quantity/quality, I’m honestly just excited to get fic in any of these fandoms! Oh, and if - by chance - you've written for me before and recognize prompts, it's not recycled because I didn't love what you wrote - I'm just greedy and want more!

If it helps you at all - I'm on tumblr as touchofstrange and have anon turned on. I'm on AO3 as skitz_phenom (DV-Skitz). :)

I'll start off with more of a general description of my likes and dislikes/DNWs in fandom and fic, and then I'll move on to more specifics for each of my selections. Please be assured though, that I'm open to almost anything and I want you to have fun writing this.

General ‘Stuff I like’:

  • Slow-build/burn, first-time is one of my absolute favorite relationship tropes. Friends-to-lovers, or enemies-to-lovers or anything in-between
  • I love scenarios that push characters into physical and emotional extremes where their vulnerability comes to the fore/gives them a reason to admit to feelings and act on them.
  • I’m also a total sucker for lots of the really tropey plots & scenarios so please don't be afraid of using them (or lampshading/subverting them). Here are a few that are awesome:
    • Bed-sharing/Huddling for warmth/forced closeness
    • Magic gone awry
    • Stranded together/Crashed on a desert island/Canadian Shack
    • Pretend couple/marriage of convenience
  • I love friendships, found-family and romance.
  • Characters who go to BAMFy extremes for the other - to save them or get vengeance on someone who hurt them - is pure catnip.
  • I also really enjoy action/adventure, plotty case-fic, and humor.
  • Angst & Hurt/comfort is terrifically dandy as well, and considering a couple of my fandoms, violence could be expected. I'll admit it though: I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
  • Crossovers might be okay, but I'd have to know the other fandom. And Canon-adjacent AU is welcome.

If you do run into questions/concerns, please don't hesitate to have a mod ask me (or send me an anon ask on tumblr)!

The ‘Stuff I like Ratings/Sex-wise’:

  • I’m entirely open when it comes to Gen, Het, Slash, Femslash, Threesomes/ Moresomes (it's always fun to include a fandom where 'moresomes' are a possibility) as they suit the fandom & characters requested.
  • I'll absolutely enjoy everything from gen to explicit and everything in between. With matching being character and/or pairing based, yeah, I'm definitely in it for the relationship between the characters and most/(almost all) of the time I'm interested in their relationship being romantic/sexual in nature, but I'm totally cool if that doesn't include sex.
  • That said, Porn is great. I love porn. (I’m including some PWP type prompts – though I think any of the other prompts could lend themselves to porn happening.)
  • If things get do porny - plain ol' vanilla sex is great, but I enjoy kinky stuff as well. (I’ll note any fandom specific kinks in my prompts section)
  • I prefer top/bottom switching. I'm not picky on who does what to who and the more variety the better.
  • A couple of kinks/things I’m particularly fond of (in any/all gender combinations):
    • Frottage
    • Rimming
    • Fingering
    • Biting/Marking
    • Pegging
    • Dual penetration
    • Intercrural
    • Xeno or tentacles (where applicable to the fandom).
    • A character face-forward against a wall/door/bulkhead being sexed-up from behind.

The ‘What I’m Not So Fond of’ & DNWs:

My 'hardstop, won’t read, will reject’ DNWs are in my sign-up (and copied below). Fandom specific exceptions are noted in my sign-up!

From my letter: DNWs include: certain heavier kinks (ex: underage, incest, necrophilia, watesports, scat, vore, non-sentient bestiality, age-play, daddy/mommy-kink, infantilism, emetophilia, inflation, feeding, lactation/pregnancy, amputation/body modification, medical-play, needles, body fluids other than sweat, saliva, ejaculate, blood), child abuse, gratuitous animal harm, humiliation, noncom of or btwn requested characters, partner betrayal, permanent char. death, suicide or suicidal ideation, vampire/werewolf AU, mundane AU, slave AU, seme/uke dynamics, disability fic, issue-fic, trans or ace headcanons, A/B/O type verse, Mpreg, always-a-girl/boy, D/s lifestyle 24/7, 1st or 2nd person POV, come spelled as cum, character bashing.

That being said, there are some additional details on the above DNWs and a few other things that aren’t really my cup of tea:

  • Regarding the heavier/extreme kinks, I think I've covered most of the main tags/categories that fall under the YKINMKATO setting, but I know I’m also probably forgetting (or not aware of) a few more hardcore kinks. Plus, sometimes those boundaries can blur, so if you have any questions about other kinks, please feel free to ask!
  • Some ‘milder’ kinks (and I know YMMV on that definition!) I’m okay with in moderation:
  • Edging, breathe play, blood play, knife play, gun play, scent kink, felching, figging, come play, mild BDSM, spanking, sensation play, object insertion, fisting, somnophilia.
  • Please no overt animal cruelty – but hunting/fishing is fine and expected as they fit the fandom
  • No abuse or violence towards children (esp. under 15) but reference to it in a characters’ past may be acceptable (as noted in my fandom specific exceptions!
  • Please no character bashing. Even if I didn’t request the characters, I pretty much like them all.
  • I’m as much a fan of the universes I’m requesting as the characters, so I’d prefer not to see much in the way of non-canon/mundane AU (i.e coffee shop, tattoo parlor, etc...)
  • Not a huge fan of 1st or 2nd person POV, or of epithets (particularly related to age, hair color, height, eye color, profession, etc...)
  • While I don’t want permanent character death or suicide, I don’t mind if you go darkside, and temporary death for plot purposes is fine, but I appreciate avoiding killing the main characters.
  • Partner betrayal makes me uncomfortable, although if it’s misunderstood, I can deal with that.
  • Humiliation is public is definitely a ‘no’ – but in a private situation (verbally, physically, etc…) is tolerable.
  • Lastly, while I’d prefer to avoid noncon (esp. between the nominated characters), reference to it having happened in the past may be acceptable (and noted for fandoms). I also prefer to steer away from dubcon w/out feelings and/or consequences (i.e. Okay would be Sex Pollen w/ 'OMG what did I/You/We do?!').
  • All this with the caveat that I do expect some of this could be applicable in the canons I’ve selected and I have noted exceptions in my sign-up!

Canon specific details & prompts!

Wiedźmin | The Witcher (Video Game)

Group: Geralt of Rivia/Vernon Roche

Why I love this fandom: The best RPG I've ever played, in part because of how much I loved the characters. Vernon was my immediate fav, and I think that he and Geralt could be wonderfully broken together, bonding over their failed relationships, and poor decisions in trying to eventually do the right thing. Any mention of video-game canon characters is totally fine as well - except Emhyr. Please do not include him (except in mention if you refer to Ciri).

I hesitate to mention 'headcanons' as I know that they're quite a personal thing - but if it helps (and it's NOT necessary to include any of this!!) I see Geralt as pretty sexually flexible. Attracted to strong personalities and different kinds of power.  Roche, I read as gay but the type to abstain from sex - not out of a lack of desire, but because it leads to fewer complications in his life and less risk. I also suspect he's got a dark childhood. Again - purely speculation on my part and NOT required!

Specific Prompts:

  • Geralt is tasked to complete a mission (maybe something associated to Witcher-school lore) that will require him to venture into some kind of spirit/other realm, leaving his body behind. He needs someone he trusts to watch over him while he does this and asks Roche. Naturally things don’t go as planned and Roche needs to follow him into this other realm/Geralt’s mind/etc... to rescue him.
  • Geralt encounters Roche while on a mission to dispatch an incubus. Inhibitions lowered, Geralt and Roche give in to their desires and lots of hot, sweaty sex ensues. They try to blame it on the incubus… only to find out it wasn’t an incubus after all.
  • Roche shows up at Geralt’s villa in Toussaint needing a place to lay low. Though he’s close-mouthed about it at first, Geralt convinces him to talk about his troubles, and the two work together to get Roche out of his latest political conundrum.
  • Roche enlists Geralt's help after some men under his command disappear and he fears some kind of beast/monster. Together they dispatch the creature, but Roche is horribly injured, forcing Geralt to make the decision to try to use Witcher decoctions to try to save his life. Hurt/comfort to the max!
  • Roche aids Geralt on a contract where a devious sorceress traps them in a dangerous underground lair. Between the monsters and the dangerous spells and traps, their emotions may be the trickiest thing to navigate and it's going to be a challenge to get out of it alive.

Blood Ties (TV)

Group: Henry Fitzroy/Mike Celluci

Why I love this fandom: As I mentioned in my sign-up, I'm a huge fan of these books and have been since I read Blood Price back in '91. Book!Mike and Book!Henry are completely different in my head than the TV show, but I ended up adoring them equally as played by Dylan Neal & Kyle Schmid. I kinda shipped it in the books (though I was more into Mike/Vicki and Henry/Tony) but the TV Versions became eminently shippable! They have a chemistry that's so vibrant! Plus, where the show ended, I don't think either of them deserve Vicki, LOL - She's too badass on her own. But I'm cool with mention of Henry/Vicki or Mike/Vicki (or Vicki/Coreen).

Specific Prompts:

  • Henry's latest graphic novel focuses on a police officer, and as it's still a sore subject with Vicki, Henry reluctantly reaches out to Mike to be his resource on the force. Of course, this means they'll need to spend quite a bit of time together...
  • Mike's latest case has him stumped. He doesn't want to admit that he could use the help of a private detective - or especially, a private detective's vampire associate. But, there are lives at risk and Mike's going to have to put aside his personal (and very confused) feelings for Henry to solve this one.
  • A cursed object falls into the wrong hands; namely Mike and Henry's. They find themselves drawn to each other or unable to be apart, and have to work quite closely together to get themselves out of this situation.
  • There's no reason he should be so hung up on it; Mike had already confirmed that there's no mystical 'bond' or other weirdness caused by being used as vampire take out. But he just can't stop thinking about what it felt like to have Henry's hands on his body and teeth in his throat.
  • Dealing with an inheritance from an uncle he'd not seen since he was a boy, Mike discovers that the man was heavily into the mystical/otherworldly and knew plenty about vampires. Among his uncle's possessions he finds an ancient item that's said to have the power to grant vampires the ability to face the sun for a day.

DC Extended Universe

Group: Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent, Group: GQ Edwards/Waylon Jones, Group: Arthur Curry/Orm Marius

Why I love this fandom: I hate to be 'that' type of fan, but it was honestly fic that brought me into all of these pairings. I've seen all the movies and liked the actors in their respective roles, but hadn't ever been 'that' into the DC Universe (I grew up on Marvel comics). But, then I was exploring a beloved & trusted author's oeuvre and came across these pairings. And... got utterly hooked on all 3 of them!  I've read tons of Superbat since; the other two are a bit scarcer on the ground, but I've loved what I've found! Please feel free to focus on one pairing or incorporate 2 or 3!

With Bruce and Clark, I love the pained beginnings they're given in the movies and have to overcome. I enjoy snark and banter and definitely their physicality! I'm also a huge fan of sublimating attraction into aggression. I enjoy it when they're both kind of big dumb idiots who are deeply caring of each other but reluctant to show it.

For GQ & Waylon, I know we didn’t get more than a moment or two in the movie, but eh… ships have been formed on less. I like GQ coming to terms with his attraction, and Waylon reluctant and/or unwilling to accept that someone ‘normal’ could have feelings for him. Exploration of Waylon’s physiology is something I definitely find intriguing.

It's the taboo nature of Arthur & Orm that kind of drew me in. They're both strong personalities and the physicality between them is pretty enticing. I like them both stubborn and aggressive and reluctant when it comes to any kind of attraction or feelings.

Specific Prompts (These could all be changed up for any pairing):

  • Something alien (creature/infant/mechanical being/pod/etc...) arrives on Earth and is discovered by the JL. As it's not long after the battle with Steppenwolf, Bruce's immediate reaction is to capture it first and ask questions later, while Clark favors a gentler approach. Cue their tensions causing rifts w/in the team. (Enemy or innocent is up to you! Does this turn into another BvS or Three Men & a Baby).
  • An encounter with a strange device sends Bruce and Clark hurtling through space and strands them on a strange planet. Survival becomes their number one focus, but neither has ever been good on relying on the other. They'll have to adapt though, and maybe get closer in the process, to get home.
  • Bruce is injured rather severely during a mission and is worried that this time he won’t recover enough to be able to continue on as Batman. He slips into an angry depression and is an absolute jerk to everyone. Clark, wanting to help, researches a way to heal him using Kryptonian tech from his ship. Things don’t go exactly to plan and the two end up connected in a very unusual way.
  • A mission gone wrong where Waylon gets dosed by a drug/artifact/enemy that causes him physical pain and mental trauma, and the effects get worse over time. They discover that GQ – his proximity & touch – can alleviate the symptoms. It becomes a struggle for the pair to find a ‘cure’ and at the same time, stay close enough to keep Waylon from suffering.
  • Classic bodyswap: Waylon and GQ end up swapping bodies thanks to a device that was originally being tested on Waylon with the thought it might revert him to a more human form. It isn’t all silly shenanigans, though as GQ encourages Waylon to experience life in his body (and all that entails) while he finds himself wanting to give in to the more animalistic nature of being Killer Croc.
  • GQ finds himself stepping over the line of duty to save Waylon’s life, and his superiors decide he’s becoming a liability to Croc as well, so he’s reassigned. He’s miserable and can’t figure out why he’s missing being with his team so much. Then, he learns that the new guy assigned to work with Waylon has his own agenda and he needs to do whatever it takes to keep Waylon safe.
  • On a diplomatic mission, Arthur insists that Orm accompany him and act as his advisor. At first, Orm is reluctant to assist, and tries to sabotage Arthur as often as he can. However, things take a dark turn when they are betrayed, and the two are forced to work together to survive.
  • Ruling Atlantis isn’t all its’ cracked-up to be, and Arthur finds himself constantly struggling to balance his birthright with the needs of the JL. Orm, however, has had plenty of experience leading. At first Arthur just goes to his half-brother for advice, guidance, but over time it becomes clear that he’s quite suited to rule. Meanwhile, Orm is reluctant to offer advice, but some of Arthur’s ideas are just so ridiculous, he can’t help but open his mouth. It’s a relationship that’s slow to build, and it’s put to the test when a new outside force threatens all of Atlantis.
  • As he’s half-human, Arthur is unaware of some aspects of Atlantean physiology. When word of a strange ancient vessel on the bottom of the artic ocean calls for Arthur’s attention, he brings a reluctant Orm along as it’s suggested this ship might be Atlantean in origin. Unfortunately, while there, Arthur begins to experience strange symptoms, and he discovers that it’s a very late onset of Atlantean puberty.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Group: Julian Bashir/Elim Garak

Why I love this fandom: I cut my teeth on fandom with TOS, and I’ve been a Trekkie ever since. DS9 challenged me a bit, at first when it began. I was used to adventures on a Starship and space exploration; a space station and political machinations didn’t seem like it could draw me in. And then along came Garak, and that first scene with Bashir, and I was hooked. Their banter and the depths they grew to care for one another remained one of the core touchstones of the series for me. This is one of those pairings where I love to imagine how far one would go for the other…

Specific Prompts:

  • Sent on a mission to provide aid to a wartorn planet, Julian discovers that that they will only accept his help if he proves himself capable of dominance over a perceived ‘stronger’ species. Garak acts as his escort and subservient in order to impress the locals. During this feigned display, things start to get much more real. And, it only gets worse when the locals insist on drawing things out and the two are given single quarters.
  • Some years after the end of the series, Garak finds it necessary to bring Julian with him to a planet where a medical database might hold the cure to a plague on Cardassia. Unfortunately, the planet’s atmosphere is unstable and their shuttle crashes. Their struggle to survive, find a way to get the data and get home, also gives them time to revisit their past (and come to terms with the distance that’s grown between them).
  • Julian and Garak and a team are off on a diplomatic mission on behalf of DS9/Sisko. They encounter enemies - seeming a trap - and though the two of them manage to get away, their escort aren't so lucky. This leaves them entering a strange city alone, having to hide their identity and get to the bottom of who set them up. Of course, sharing single rooms in an Inn and playing at being merchants means they've got to change how they interact and leads to some interesting discoveries.
  • Garak learns of a plot to sabotage the Federation and it involves a manufactured bioweapon that would destroy all life on Earth. Julian thinks he discovers a way to save the Earth, but to attempt it could result in his death. Garak, who would sacrifice himself for his homeworld in heartbeat, doesn’t understand why he’s unwilling to let Julian take that risk.
  • Though he’s dedicated his life to rebuilding his homeworld, Garak is challenged on his loyalty to Cardassia due to his years aboard DS9. To placate the people, Garak agrees to undergo an ancient ritual. Of course, it goes wrong and Julian just happens to be on an aid mission to Cardassia when it happens. The two have to balance the feelings it starts to bring to the surface – shame, guilt, and more – and work through what it means for the two of them, at the same time as succeeding in proving Garak’s true loyalties.
